As we age we will, as well as many of our friends suffer incredible losses. What I have realized is that the longer we live the more chances we have to watch our friends and family slowly die off. It is heartbreaking to go through and not everyone handles grief the same way. Grief comes in all sizes, it could be over a loved one, or a beloved pet, or even the loss of a job or home. Grief is defined as deep sorrow, especially that caused by someone's death. Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something that’s important to you. You may feel a variety of emotions, like sadness or loneliness. Everyone grieves differently. But if you understand your emotions, take care of yourself, and seek support, you can heal.

Stages of grief:

There is no set time to grief and no set way, but if you are having trouble
Seek Help if....

  • You have trouble keepin a normal routine
  • You are overcome with depression
  • You have thoughts of life not being worth living
  • You are unable to quit blaming yourself
  • You can not sleep
